Mengele in Mesapotamia

‘Extending hope and opportunity depends on a stable supply of energy that keeps America’s economy running and America’s environment clean. For too long our nation has been dependent on foreign oil. And this dependence leaves us more vulnerable to hostile regimes, and to terrorists — who could cause huge disruptions of oil shipments, and raise the price of oil, and do great harm to our economy.’ George W. Bush, State of the Union Address : 23rd January 2007.

26th January marks Holocaust Memorial Day in the U.K., established by Prime Minister Blair in 2001. The message of the Holocaust was ; ‘never again’, so, at this time, have you noticed that there are no Iraqis anymore?

No children: no Alis, Jassims, Omars, Sabahs, Husseins; no Nairas, Ranins, Yasmins, Esthers, Fetuahs. No Parents; no Umm (mother of) Jassim, Ranin, Sabah, or Abus’ (father of) Yasmin, Ali, Omar … there are no Am or Khal (uncles) or Ama and Khala (aunts) no Jeda (grandmothers) or Jedu (grandfathers.) No families, friends, taleb (students) yufadh (teachers) mentors, coaches, shop keepers, friends to children on a special household errand. No fish, dates, fruit, falafal, pistachio sellers … In Iraq, humanity has been erased.

Instead there are ‘terrorists’, ‘insurgents’, ‘Ba’athist remanants’, ‘militants’, ‘Saddamists’, ‘Sunnis’, ‘Shia’s', ‘foreign fighters’, ‘Al Qaeda’. There are ‘rag heads’, ‘camel jockeys’ and the all become ‘collateral damage’ as they are sliced in pieces, beheaded, tortured, slaughtered, by the occupiers or their militia goons as they sleep, drive, walk, play, dying in numbers ‘not productive to count’, as so succinctly put by General Kimmitt, a man who would seemingly be unphased running a concentration camp. Car bombs, for which the occupiers are responsible, since they are legally responsible for all under their watch, do not kill Iraqis, with names, loves, plans, hopes. They result in ‘body parts’, which are pronounced ‘Sunni’ or ‘Shia’ (though how they can tell from a bit of foot, flesh, finger or brain, is one of life’s chilling, dark miracles.) [Read more...]

Uranium Summit – Statement By Indigenous Peoples

DECLARATION OF THE INDIGENOUS WORLD URANIUM SUMMIT

Window Rock, Navajo Nation, USA

December 2, 2006

We, the Peoples gathered at the Indigenous World Uranium Summit, at this critical time of intensifying nuclear threats to Mother Earth and all life, demand a worldwide ban on uranium mining, processing, enrichment, fuel use, and weapons testing and deployment, and nuclear waste dumping on Native Lands.

Past, present and future generations of Indigenous Peoples have been disproportionately affected by the international nuclear weapons and power industry. The nuclear fuel chain poisons our people, land, air and waters and threatens our very existence and our future generations. Nuclear power is not a solution to global warming. Uranium mining, nuclear energy development and international agreements (e.g., the recent U.S.-India nuclear cooperation treaty) that foster the nuclear fuel chain violate our basic human rights and fundamental natural laws of Mother Earth, endangering our traditional cultures and spiritual well-being.

Depleted Uranium is WMD

Depleted Uranium is WMD

Common Dreams

My grandfather, U.S. Army Col. Edwin Joseph McAllister, was born in Battle Creek in 1895. He does not know that his first grandchild is an international expert on depleted uranium. I have worked in two U.S. nuclear weapons laboratories, and in 1991 I became a whistleblower at the Livermore lab. Depleted uranium is very, very, very nasty stuff:

#
Depleted uranium (DU) weaponry meets the definition of weapon of mass destruction in two out of three categories under U.S. Federal Code Title 50 Chapter 40 Section 2302.

#
DU weaponry violates all international treaties and agreements, Hague and Geneva war conventions, the 1925 Geneva gas protocol, U.S. laws and U.S. military law.

#
Since 1991, the U.S. has released the radioactive atomicity equivalent of at least 400,000 Nagasaki bombs into the global atmosphere. That is 10 times the amount released during atmospheric testing which was the equivalent of 40,000 Hiroshima bombs. The U.S. has permanently contaminated the global atmosphere with radioactive pollution having a half-life of 2.5 billion years.

#
The U.S. has illegally conducted four nuclear wars in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and twice in Iraq since 1991, calling DU “conventional” weapons when in fact they are nuclear weapons.

Depleted Uranium – A Hidden Looming Worldwide Calamity

Depleted Uranium – A Hidden Looming Worldwide Calamity

By Stephen Lendman

Forget about Avian (bird) flu. The threat of it becoming a pandemic is more a political scare tactic and potential bonanza for drug company profits and its major shareholders’ net worth (including Gilead Sciences, the developer of the Tamiflu drug and its former Chairman and major shareholder Donald Rumsfeld) than a likely public health crisis – unless you live around infected chickens or take an unproven safe immunization shot. There are much more other likely killer bacterial and viral threats than Avian that get little attention. Don’t worry about possible or unlikely threats. Worry about real ones. Bacteria and viruses untreatable by anti-biotics are good examples. So is global warming and many others. But, there’s possibly one threat that tops all others both in gravity and because it’s been deliberately concealed from the public – never discussed, explained or had any action taken to remediate it. It’s the global threat from the toxic effects of depleted uranium (DU), and like global warming, DU has the potential to destroy all planetary life. How can something so potentially destructive be hidden and ignored and why?
